In the meat and
cured meats sector, STAcque.com is
committed to conveying the importance of the
treatment of wastewater from the
washing and cleaning of slaughterhouses, processing
and production laboratories, washing of equipment and
machinery and from the washing of the means of
transport.
Purification plants are essential to
treat wastewater that has a high
amount of pollutants from meat processing.
In this sector, pollutants come from washing water in
workplaces, floors, utensils, etc., from residues from
slaughtering and cutting activities that may contain
residues of blood and other organic substances. Waste
from cured meats factories and ham factories also
contains high amounts of substances deriving from the
production, cooking and packaging phases.
The presence of high concentrations of biodegradable
organic substances (BOD, COD, N, P), although devoid
of toxic contents, requires a
purification treatment pushed to be
able to discharge wastewater in
Public Sewerage or in Surface Watercourse, in
compliance with the parameters provided for by
Legislative Decree 152 of 2006.
